Dental Technology
At Dr. Rachel Navaneelan & Associates, the technology we use helps us provide patients with dental care including dental lasers, digital X-rays and an iTero intraoral scanner.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Dr. Rachel Navaneelan & Associates, we leverage technology to help us diagnose patients, plan effective treatments and help to make your dental appointments more efficient. Since we can display digital X-rays and scan on monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any emerging issues in your mouth and guide you through your treatment plan.
We're on a mission to provide patients with dental care, and to ensure they are fully informed regarding their oral health. Dental technology helps us accomplish this goal.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays replace traditional photographic X-ray film with digital sensors, which produce detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to check parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Using panoramic X-rays your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents the upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), teeth, nasal and sinus structures. Our dentists often use panoramic x-rays to help plan treatments for extractions, implants, dentures and braces.
Soft Tissue Dental Lasers
Soft tissue lasers use extremely focused light beams for repair and healing purposes. They help our dentists complete dental procedures such as reshaping gums. lengthening crowns, or treating periodontal disease while reducing pain. They also limit the need for medical interventions.
iTero Intraoral Scanner
The iTero® intraoral scanner captures 3D impressions of your bite that can be an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions - which can be messy and time consuming. This technology allows us to plan your dental treatment in real time, store data digitally, and create Invisalign clear aligners.
CEREC Same-Day Restorations
CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a system that allows for the fabrication and placement of ceramic dental crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment. With fewer injections and less drilling, CEREC helps us to provide patients with a comfortable, efficient dental treatment process.
